CAREER CONVERSATION SERIES: BEHAVIORAL INTERVIEWING

Thursdays, Starting Week 1 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM

 

In this interactive Career Conversation series, we’ll discuss strategies for delivering meaningful responses to behavioral interview questions and practice developing our responses. During each session, we will focus on one category of questions and share insights on how to organize and deliver answers that highlight your skills and experiences. Join us to practice building persuasive answers to commonly asked interview questions.

1/12: Self Introduction – “Tell us about yourself” and “Why are you interested in this position?”

1/19: Self Awareness – “What are your strengths/weaknesses?”

1/26: Problem Solving – “How do you handle a stressful work situation?”

2/2: Teamwork – “How would your colleagues describe your teamwork skills?”

2/9: Initiative – “What motivates you to do your best work?”

2/16: Logistics – “When can you start? and “What salary are you looking for?”

Career Essentials Workshops

The Career Essentials for Non-Academic Jobs series is a workshop series designed to equip participants with the skills needed for a non-academic job search. Online workshops introduce strategies and tools to attendees, and in-person intensives use hands-on activities to help attendees develop their job search materials and skills.
